The Women in Law Initiative (WiLI) aims to empower, support, and elevate women professionals in the legal field by creating a dynamic and inclusive network for development, collaboration, and leadership. WiLI focuses on providing opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and skill development, while advocating for greater gender equality and representation within the legal industry. Through workshops, networking events, advocacy campaigns, and mentorship programs, WiLI strives to foster an environment where women can connect, share experiences, and advance their careers. The initiative is committed to building a strong community that champions women’s voices, challenges gender biases, and promotes excellence and diversity in the legal profession.



Pooja Tiwari

Pooja Tiwari is currently working as a research analyst with the global research team of a leading consulting firm. Before to this, she worked as a legal researcher with premier institutions including Centre for Law, Justice and Development, National Law University, Delhi., Forum of Indian Regulators (FOIR) Centre and School of Competition Law & Market Regulation, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) Think Tank of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, the Center for Constitutional Law Studies, O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat Haryana and with the Centre of Transparency and Accountability in Governance (CTAG) at the National Law University, Delhi. As her work majorly involved analytical and empirical research work, her research experiences are multi-fold and interdisciplinary. She is an enrolled Advocate at the Bar Council of Delhi, India (2017). She works as a reviewer (Editorial Board) at the Indian Law Institute Law Review (ILILR) (July 2021- Till date) and has also worked as senior editor at the Supremo Amicus Law Journal ISSN No.: 2456-9704 (2020- November 2021). She has delivered lectures on different contemporary topics at the WB National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, Forum of Indian Regulators (FOIR) Centre at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, the National Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (NFCSR) at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, the Centre for Competition Law and Economics, Legal Innovation – A student-led initiative and Faculty of Law, Lucknow University, Lucknow. Additionally, holds numerous publications in many national and international reputed journals and has presided as a Judge for Moot court competitions organised by reputed law universities. In 2020, she was felicitated as a COVID-19 Warrior for assisting in the research of policymaking regarding the Containment Plan formulation and implementation and designing of posters for spreading awareness with the Government of Haryana, India. She has her Master of Arts in Gender and Development Studies from Indira Gandhi National Open University. She received her Master of Laws in corporate & commercial laws from the W.B National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in 2018 and her bachelor’s in law from Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law University of Delhi in 2017. As a researcher, Pooja has been particularly interested in commercial laws, public policies, and gender studies.
